To "The Valley" came a mother and her two daughters searching for survival and peace. The entire world from whence they came had been torn apart by the devastating forces of political conflict and so the lush but neglected valley looked to them like eden. What they found at Caryn's Castle exceeded any of their expectations and this place welcomed them into a world such that they had only imagined could exist. A new place to live, a new way to live in a new world, Caryn's New World.

To the NORTH, the steep, high and icy snow capped mountains that seem to be impossible to traverse.

To the WEST, a great sea bordered on the North Coast by high and desolate desert plains steeply sloping down the smooth but crumbling cliffs to the beach below.

To the EAST, black desolate cliffs leading down through the treacherous crags and razor sharp rocks to the icy river in the valley below.

To the SOUTH, the burnt and dark Blackthorn Forest. A spellbound place of dangerous beings where the sun never penetrates and nothing green ever grows.

But, nestled in the Center lives the Valley protected by all that surrounds.
